Here you can see our work done on a large VR project. This is a virtual tour for a museum from Banská Štiavnica, a completely preserved medieval town of historical value (official UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Slovakia.
Optimization of the scanned town model for use in VR was among difficult tasks of the project. The original model included 16 million polygons and 14 textures in 16k. Many objects were scanned in a museum and then adjusted by our team for use in a real-time VR project.
Another challenging part was flooding the mine with water after explosion. Water imitation on a smaller scale is pretty simple nowadays but completing the task in the real-time mine was exciting.
