Discover the future of coworking with our VR solution that transforms the way teams collaborate. In this case study, Onix showcases the development of a virtual coworking platform in response to the evolving needs of distributed teams. Located in Germany, our 4-specialist team embarked on a 5-month journey to create an immersive VR environment where users can book virtual spaces, hold video conferences, and personalize avatars for lifelike interactions. The solution, built with Unity, Photon, Blender, Houdini, and more, delivers realistic graphics and detailed 3D environments, fostering effective collaboration and shared experiences for teams worldwide.

• Setting up regular communication between our team and client to ensure a structured and transparent development process
• Developing a server with which people can book a room where they want to hold a virtual conference
• Building a system of avatars that enables users to personalize themselves and interact with their colleagues using these virtual versions. We used inverse kinematics to ensure the required avatar position at three key points: head, hands, controllers

• Preparing a set of various virtual locations where users will create their own office space for conferencing experiences
