Virtual safety lab: Warehouse work
Project Details
The virtual simulation is designed for training and testing warehouse workers on the proper storage of boxes. The system teaches and records the use of a loader, ladder relative to the box’s weight, and the correct placement on shelves.
Features:
- Operate a simulated forklift with an arm to move and organize boxes on shelves.
- Use ladders placed around the area to reach boxes on higher shelves.
- Large virtual warehouse filled with rows, shelves, and piles of boxes.
- Physics of heavy objects that the user cannot lift.
- Calculation of results based on user decisions in a simple percentage form.
The simulator helps to solve such problems:
- Simulator Training: Offers safe skill-building for warehouse operators in a virtual space, avoiding real-world risks.
- Cost Savings: Virtual training is more affordable than traditional methods, allowing for frequent and simultaneous sessions.
- Boosted Efficiency: Simulated tasks teach operators to work effectively, enhancing real-world productivity.
We created this application in a short period of time, having received a small script for the implementation of personnel rules.
